So it's been a while since you've heard from us, currently we're taking a small break from shows to focus on writing. Sorry to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to seeing us in the next couple months or so. Get stoked for some new jams though.

Long-playing

Yup, we're writing a full-length. We'll be spending the rest of the year writing and demoing for it, and playing a short tour with out of town dates here and there. It will be released on CD and (hopefully) LP shortly thereafter. Any labels looking to get involved should contact us at anytime before late Fall. We've got a tentative start time and we'll be recording with Alex again (as we've done with the upcoming split). Posted below is one of the tracks that will be appearing on the split with Colombian Necktie. See you guys at CAUA fest this weekend (we'll have some new merch as well as 7"s)! And as far as local shows, we're currently booking a few, but it's become increasingly difficult lately to do so.

Recording Sunday

Today we recorded 3 songs. They're currently incomplete but will not be that way by the end of the week. We'll post two of them when they're done. I know bands say this after they record, or when they're in the process, but it's true... this is the best stuff we've written as a band so far. Siq.

"All Of My Bad Habits" 7"EP pre-orders now up!

Pre-orders for our upcoming 7" are now available! Each of the three labels involved are doing something special for the pre-order. Reckless Minds Collective will be sending out a free 7" from their distro with each pre-order, Irish VooDoo has special pre-order covers (limited to 50), and Radical Friends is giving away a shirt with each pre-order. We're currently working on setting up a release show for the 7" in Las Vegas, more info on this very very soon!
We will be recording 3 songs this weekend at Alex's house.. 2 for the upcoming split 7" with Colombian Necktie, and one for a compilation 7" to be released later this year.
Don't forget to come out to Cali Über Alles this year. So far announced, we'll be playing with: Soul Search, Retaliate, Crucified, Minority Unit, Confrontations, Condemned, Minus, Take Offense, Blocked Out, Deadlined, and The Beautiful Ones. I'm not sure if there's more to be announced but follow all the news here.

Announcements!

Straight into it, we've got some things to announce. We're not playing any shows until our 7" release show/Cali Über Alles (whichever comes first). Our 7" will be released sometime in April, test pressings are on their way to us. We're currently taking time out to write a bunch of new jams, and it's coming along nicely. We were asked by Brian of Reckless Minds Collective if we'd like to do a split (7") with Southern California band Colombian Necktie and we obliged. We're almost done writing for that and we'll be recording for it very soon. Our upcoming releases (in no particular order) are: Colombian Necktie/Ruined Tongue split 7", All Of My Bad Habits 7", 100 10 second songs by 100 bands 10"/mini-CD comp., untitled 7" comp. (more info soon), ?????? CD(/LP?) (later this year -- more info on this soon as well), and a possible live tape. We'll be playing the Sunday date of Cali Über Alles with some siq bands. Follow the news on that here. Thanks to everyone who's helping with all these fucking projects, it's very appreciated.

"All Of My Bad Habits" now up for streaming! 10"/CD Comp.

Our upcoming 7" is now available for streaming via our bandcamp (see right of page). The last song "Depression" is also available for a free download. Please come out to our next upcoming shows because after these two we'll be taking a month off to write and we won't be doing ANY old songs (pre "All Of My Bad Habits material). I should probably take this time to mention that our song "Ghost Rider" will be appearing on an upcoming compilation released by Bastard Loud in the UK. The compilation will be 100 bands performing 10 second songs and will be released via 3" mini CD and 10" record. Not sure on the release date yet. Thanks to everyone who follows what we're doing, we really appreciate it!

"All Of My Bad Habits" 7"EP

So, the 5 tracks we recently recorded will be going on a 7" to be released by Reckless Minds Collective, Irish VooDoo Records, and Radical Friends. There will be 300 pressed total and 100 will be limited colors. We've uploaded a track entitled "Summer Gorillas" for you to listen to (on our bandcamp) on the right side of the page. Artwork will be handled mostly by Josh and will be done soon. The tracklisting will be as follows:

Plans Plans. (An Update)

We've got a show coming up on December 8 with Sojourner, and as of right now, it is the only one we have lined up until our three days in California. We're going to have a banging time, and much love to everyone who is helping us out getting shows out there. We've got a flier up for the last date of mini-tour at the Cobalt Cafe in Canoga Park, CA (moved to post above).

Alright so all 5 songs for the 7" have been recorded. Thanks to Steven Kreuz and Jacob Williams for recording us. Next is mixing. We're still looking for a label(s) to put this out, any that are interested should contact us via ruinedtongue@gmail.com. New shirts and buttons will be available by the time mini-tour starts. We'll post a couple of the tracks from the 7" when they're done. Probably write another jam in time for mini-tour, who knows? Until then just stay posted here for all upcoming shows and whatnot.

Recording: Dia Uno

So drum tracks and Cory's guitar were recorded today. The second (and final) day of recording will be Nov 1. Our next show is tenatively scheduled for Dec 8 in Las Vegas with Sojourner, this will be Josh's first show with us and we'll have tapes for sale again so definitely come out. Next update when we finish recording, until then, enjoy the demo posted below.

"Officially official"

Firstly, thanks to everyone who came out to the Nails show last week, and no thanks to everyone who got in a fight or caused problems, otherwise, shit was awesome (if you took photos, please send them along). So as you may or may not know at this point, Larry, our original bassist, is now our former bassist. He's amicably left the group to work full-time with the Jordan World Circus. We wish him all the best and will miss his presence in the band. Taking Larry's spot is the one and only Josh Adams, we're stoked to have him in the band as Josh is an awesome dude and we think he is quite skilled at the electric bass guitar. If you don't know Josh I highly recommend getting tattooed by him. Anyway, as you can see (to the right), two out of the three California winter dates are booked, so we'll be visiting Golden State citizens soon. We may or may not have some local shows before our trip in December, let's say it's more likely than not, ok? Recording is t-minus one week at this point, and we'll be posting another one of the new demo tracks the day prior (onto this posting), so stay tuned. New merch coming soon.

Thanks so much to everyone who came out to our California show and our most recent show at Yayo Taco. Both events were a blast and pictures have been posted. Right now we're going to write one last song before we head into the studio to record. Also, gracias to anyone who bought a tape or a shirt, since we're almost out of shirts we'll be printing up some new ones soon. The last of the shirts and tapes are available on our webstore(s) (either here or the Radical Friends site). Also there's a tentative Winter mini-tour planned and dates will be posted within the next month or two. "Stay tuned."

upcoming shows

Writing/recording

Thanks to everyone that came out to the Calculator and Burn Idols show the other night (sorry for any confusion the flier may have caused, you did not need any sort of time traveling device to attend). Currently we have two new songs in our setlist that will be recorded soon as well as a cover song and a song that is yet to be written. We will be recording all of these four songs soon to be released (on vinyl) hopefully by the end of this year or the beginning of the next. I'm not sure when our next show will be exactly but I do know it'll be in August. The split tape with Residuals will be out Aug 5 via Radical Friends. It features "Shoreline" and "Day To Day," two of the three songs we recorded last year with Joey at AM Audio. Those two songs as well as "Atlas" will be available by themselves on CD soon with artwork from Brian Larsh. We'll have music up on here and Facebook soon. There's also talk of new merch, but nothing too specific yet. Thanks for your continued support. New jams soon!
